Primary competencies for secondary school: psychological features of successful learning at transition grades

As the transition period from primary to secondary education is difficult for many students, our strive study psychological features, which may scaffold student’s promotion and provide future successful learning. We consider educational media be a complex system of depend on content way, in process organized. The “activity-and-content oriented” devised after theoretical principles Developmental Instruction (Davydov), according hypothesis, provides sound bases competencies formation, are vital education. To test this assumption, we have diagnosed quality reflection, analysis, planning, model-acquisition model-application, achieved by 204 students two different (“activity-and-content “knowledge oriented”). For assessment purposes diagnostic tools were used: “Transpositions” “Moon” test. Both tests exploited contexts, unfamiliar both groups students. results show, that “activity-and-content” oriented performed significantly better most cognitive concepts. these findings support major powerful source students’ competencies’ its turn learning school.
